Serber begun his carrier as a realist but soon changed into modernism. He is known for his early cubism and expressionism and later in his life he also worked with modern non-figurative art. Serbers works are known for their impressive colours that often were dark and strong. Serber travelled and worked in France, Germany and in the Nederland’s. Serber also worked as a sculptor and did series of both painted wooden sculptures and stoneware sculptures.
