Waldemar Mau or Valdemar Erhardt Johan Mau belonged to a group of artists
who in the 1920’s and 30’s painted landscapes around Frederikssund in Denmark. Mau was a big naturalist and focused on portraying the many charming landscapes he made as exactly and real as he saw them.
Education:
Educated in The Fredericksburg technical school in 1910-14.
Was a pupil of Hans Knudsen and greatly inspired by fellow artist L.A. Ring.
