Schiødte was highly inspired by the Danish master painters like C.Dalsgaard and F.Vermehren. He preferred to paint romantic landscape scenes and kept a romantic mood in most of his oils. Besides painting he also worked as a artist on the magazine “Illustreret Familie Journal”. Schiødte travelled in Italy, France and Belgium, and lived and worked in Munich, Germany.
