Siiger was educated at the royal art academy in 1943 and was a pupil of Axel Jörgensen and Kresten Iversen. Siiger was born on the Danish island of Bornholm and was greatly inspired by the fellow Bornholm native Oluf Høst. Siiger was a primarily a landscape painter and is known for his strong expressive colours. Siiger painted and travelled all around Scandinavia and lived and worked in Norway from 1951-60.
