Christiansen Studied at Technical School in Denmark, but travelled widely in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Rumania, Turkey, Palestine and Egypt. He exhibited at Charlottenborg since 1917 and he was also attached to Kunstnerforeningen af 18. November (the Artist Society of November 18). Niels Christiansen mostly painted landscapes and he preferred motifs with domestic animals, painted in a naturalistic interpretation. Throughout the years he has become a popular painter and his works can be found in many great collections.
