Zieler was educated at the Royal Art Academy in 1928 and was a pupil of Karl Larsen. Zieler also studied at the painting school studio of Harald Giersing from 1926-27 and took art lessons from Aksel Jörgensen at the fresco school from 1927-32. Zieler was a multi talented artist and worked with many different media like oil paintings, drawings, graphic artworks, interior designs and cover designs to books and posters. Zieler has travelled in Finland, Norway, Paris, Italy, Germany and Bali where he did many landscapes and portraits. The motifs of Zieler are known for their powerful dark colours mixed with light painting strokes and modernistic views. Zieler has been exhibited numerous times all around Scandinavia and in New York, Paris, Rome and Glasgow.
