Mogens Gad was a pupil and best friend of the artist Julius Paulsen whom he had meet when he attended Julius Paulsen´s fine school of art in 1913. They both travelled to France and Italy where they lived and painted together in the period between 1913- 21. Mogens Gad was known for his many religious paintings and have made several altarpieces. Gad was a sensitive artist and found his peace in painting. He died of sickness at an age of only 44. Gad has been exhibited many times in Denmark and Sweden.
