Ever since Louise was a child she was facinated by the sea, and from an early age on she began painting beaches and seascapes. Unfortunatly for her, she was born in a time where the art industry was heavily male-dominated, however due to her very strong character and her great talent, she became the first female artist in her time who became accepted at the Royal Art Academy as a seascape painter in 1891.

Pupil of Wenzel Tornoe and Hans Fischer Attented “kunstnernes studieskole”(the artists school of study) Where her teachers was L. Tuxen, Julius Paulsen and P.S Krøyer.
