Born in Malmo in 1887. Studied at academies in Berlin and other European cities.
Thornberg is known for the psychological characteristics and symbolism found in his portraits and figure scenes. Thornberg worked primarily with watercolors and pastels and is known for his strong dark colors. Thornberg also worked with Décor and has decorated many public schools in Sweden.
