Lundgreen was a landscape painter and was famous for his detailed forest sceneries. Lundgreen’s nickname was ”Kongemaleren” meaning ”the king’s painter”. The former king of Denmark, Christian X once meet Lundgreen in the forest while he was painting, and was so fascinated by Lundgreens art that he bought the painting Lundgreen was working on.
