Jarne Gissel was son of Petri Gissel and he grew up surrounded with his fathers artist friends like Erik Hoppe and Jens Söndergaard. Jarne was inspired from an early age on and began painting landscapes when he was 14. When he was older Jarne traveled many times to France where he got strongly influenced by Cézanne.
Education:
Educated at the Royal Art academy in 1949.
Pupil of Henry Luckow Nielsen, Kreasten Iversen and Wilhelm Lundström.
