Educated in Paris, where he encountered the many early French expressionists and early fauvism. Studied the method of expressionism in Germany and Holland from 1917. Traveled and worked in the United States from 1916-1918. Returned later that year and lived in New York and Philadelphia from 1918-1922. Jensen was influenced by the early French and German expressionism that he encounted on his travels across Europe. Jensen worked primarily with landscapes and harbor scenes, his works are known for their bright and mild colors mixed with wild expressive brushstrokes.
