Educated at the school of P. Rostrup Böyesens in 1945. Educated at the Royal art academy in 1957. Pupil of Vilhelm Lundström and William Scharff. Bloch worked in Paris and Italy and is known for his colorful and strong landscapes from his travels in Europe. Bloch also worked on theater decors and backgrounds for the Royal Oprah house and the Royal ballet in Copenhagen. His most famous works were the decors from Madame Butterfly in 1953 and the décor of the Shakespeare play Hamlet. Many of the works of Bloch were exhibited at the Carnegie Hall in New York.
