Born in the village Praestø, Denmark. Educated at the technical school of arts and at private art schools. He has travelled and painted all around Scandinavia but worked mostly in Denmark. Wentzel was primary a landscape painter and known for his landscapes with marshes, and his autumn and winter scenes. Wentzel has been exhibited at “The Free Art Museum” and at other European exhibitions.
