Educated at art schools in Berlin and Leipzig. Grundorff was a profound seascape painter, who often found his motifs in the harbour of Copenhagen and this city’s canals although he also made some landscape paintings. He later He received a scholarship from the Danish Government for study-trips abroad and was exhibited at the World Fair in Paris in 1900.
