Landt was an educated chief officer and worked on board many ships that sailed around the world. One of his most famous works was the series of seascapes from Greenland during his frequent travels there from 1900 to 1952. In 1936, Landt was chosen to accompany his Royal Highness King Christian X of Denmark to Iceland and the Faroe Islands, where Landt worked on a series of seascapes requested by the King. Landt has also worked on historical pieces, portraying famous sea battles and other historical events. Many of Landts works was later reproduced and featured in Newspapers and Magazines. Landt held private exhibitions in 1932 and have been exhibited at Charottenborg in 1936. Many of Landts works still remains in the Royal collection in Denmark.
