Rasmussen is known for his special Science fiction/cartoon inspired oils.
Sensual women was his favourite motif, but he also experimented with cityscapes and wildlife. Rasmussen has worked as a graphic designer for among others like “Irma”, a Danish supermarket chain, and Swedish furniture company, IKEA. Erik Rasmussen has received several art prizes and has been exhibited numerous times in Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, France and Germany.
