Larsen was pupil of Karl Larsen from 1932-33 and very known for his humorous and colourful scenes from Paris and Copenhagen. Larsen was especially fond of Paris and travelled there many times to portrait cafés and other exotic scenes. Larsen also did a large series of paintings and drawings inspired from literature and mythology like ‘1001 Nights’. Larsen was a very outgoing and beloved Danish artist and often one could find him sitting in a bar doing sketches or at a Parisian café studying people.
