Educated at the royal academy of arts in 1885. Pupil of Jensen Egeberg.
Bang was a highly skilled artist concerning works in oil or pencil. Bang was known for his very detailed series of portraits done in pencil. Bang worked as an art teacher at the Danish Court and taught members of the Royal family how to draw and make sketches. Bang was also known for his series of forest landscapes from northern Zealand done in oil. Bang worked around in Scandinavia and lived in Paris from 1889, Italy: 1904-1906,1920 and Germany. Bang works has been compared to the likes of P.C Skovgaard.
