Falbe-Hansen was a very social aware artist and his favourite motif was landscapes and the working class in Denmark. He did many people sceneries, city scapes from central Copenhagen and showed his views of the social status of Denmark in the 1930s and 1940s. Falbe-Hansen was also the co-founder of the art union “Kammeraterne” in 1935. Falbe-Hansen is especially known for his impressive landscapes and populated street scenes, buildings and bar scenes from Copenhagen. His paintings are known to be powerful and colourful painted but what really made his paintings so special was the enormous atmosphere and charisma Falbe-hansen captured in his oils.
