Anders Hune was baptized Anders Carl Nielsen but changed his name in 1920 to Hune. Hune was the name of a location on the west coast in Denmark where Andreas Hune lived and worked from 1920-1935. He loved the location so much that he permently changed his family name to Hune. Hune worked primarily on farm landscapes with animals or people and on seascapes. He is known for his powerful colors and his interesting painting technique that was a combination between naturalism and Expressism. Besides Scandinavia Hune also traveled and worked in Germany 1920-21 and Paris in 1926. Besides painting Hune also worked with sculptures and became a known author and poet with many books published.
