Broge was educated at the royal academy of arts on 1889 and pupil of Rudolf Bissen. Broge worked primarily with city scenes and landscapes and was known for his excellent series of landscapes with sunlit summer scenes. Broges works was very popular during his time due to their great charm and many of his works was reproduced on postcards and posters during the 1930ties. Broge worked and traveled all around Scandinavia and stayed in Italy, Spain and France from 1922-1926.
