Albert Kongsbak was educated at the royal art academy in 1901. Kongsbak was a naturalistic artist and known for his great impressive romantic landscapes and interiors. Kongsbak was an admirer of the Golden age of Danish art and fond of portraying large romantic scenes and to capture all its colours and beauty. Kongsbak travelled all round the Danish country scene to paint and to Swiss, Germany and Italy. Kongsbak archived great fame during his life time and was exhibited almost continuously at Charlottenborg from 1902-1959
